Ji Chunming, vice mayor, and Zhong Sheng, secretary of CPC Baoying County Committee as well as director of the Standing Committee of Baoying County People's Congress, jointly opened the ceremony for the Lotus Roots Festival. Wang Chaoping, the head of the Economy Bureau of Policy Research Centre of the CPC Central Committee was present in the event by invitation. He also said, Baoying is a piece of magic land full of hope, and the people in Baoying are diligent, intelligent, and honest and are capable of wonders.
